Countries in the Middle East and North Africa are strengthening health systems and improving access to health care for their populations. However, the region shares a common set of health challenges, including a rise in the burden of non-communicable diseases and a need to increase both public and private investment in health systems. To ensure a healthy future, patients across the region would benefit from more effective and efficient health systems, more innovation, more health care choices and faster access to new treatments.
